    Old Nautical compass

    I was living in the UK years ago and came across this old nautical compass. For some reason I had to have it, cost me like $15. It sat in its box for years until I came across it this weekend. I dont even know how to work it. LOL I so wish it could talk and tell me the stories of its travels.

    Appreciate any advice on removing pitting from Chrome. I have used 4\0 steel wool with some limited success in the past but came upon this article on restoring chrome. It says start with 400 grit sandpaper, then 800, then 1000 and finish with steel wool, use a clear lacquer then steel wool...

    Starcraft logo

    I am making progress on my 1958 Starcraft Jet Star project. One issue I had as missing logos... I was able to make a mold using the one good logo I had and found a company, Reynolds advanced material, that has a molding and liquid plastic that worked great... Link to my project photos...
