    I have a 1979 85hp evinrude that kill switch only kill right side coils. It is wired y/b wires on m and black wires on other m on switch. Any thoughts on problem would be appreciated.

    The problem I am having is when I connect B/y wire to one M post and Black wire to other M post it kills one side when I pull kill switch.

    wiring is same as in your diagram. when I hook up black/yellow to kill switch on red side and black on other m or ground terminal it kills one side. Boat will shut off using key.
