    Ok i have a 1991 Alpha1 GenII 3.0L.....I few weeks a ago i took off my out drive for the winter and i was going to check the gear oil and water came out for a good 10 seconds then the gear oil which was green....i just got my home made pressure tester and tested the lower unit without the upper...

    OK..I'm going to service my Lower unit since i pulled out the out drive off the boat for the winter....i was going to change the gear oil and literally water poured out for a few seconds, then the gear oil came out and it was green.:facepalm: So now i'm waiting for a part i ordered so i can...

    Can someone tell me what this is? I found this today in between my upper and lower unit MerCruiser 3.0L Alpha 1 Gen II when i removed my out drive to put away for the winter....It scared the crap out of me i hope its not something internal that melted off...its a piece of rubber on...
