    Mine has the pin. I suppose the timing marks are on the flywheel. I am seeing marks but cant read them, I rubbed chalk on them and only a little better. I think I see a 0, and I think maybe a 10. I got it at what I think is the 10 and the 0 is above the pin not below it. Am I close given...

    Load rite trailer question

    My 1972 slickcraft loads on my load rite trailer a little off center every time. Should I tighten the roller ubolts so that they cannot pivot, thus forcing the boat in position? ( side to side not front to back).

    OK I have a 1972 slickcraft ss195 19.5' I have a 15 3/4" x 17 prop on her now which get me about 32MPH GPS. It takes about 5 seconds to plane out. I am not sure what RPM I am running due to bad tach. I look in the manual and it lists the 888 15 3/4"x17 prop for being for a 20-25' boat. and...

    Ok, I think I got a bad tach. It does not seem to register between 0 and say 1200 RPM. I went today looking why....... I found some loose wires, tightened them up, still same. So I started grabbing,turning, and wiggling wires, nothing too serious, just trying to find a loose connection. Bam...

    Just making sure

    80-90W gear oil is indeed acceptable for my mercruiser one drive. Wanted to look at the old fluid. Emptied into mason jar, Got about 30-34 oz out of the drive. Looks good, no burnt smell, no water, no shavings.

    What kind of range

    What kind of range should I be getting with my slickcraft 195 SS with the mercruiser 888. 50 gal tank. Get up on plane, trim out, and back off to throttle enough just to keep on plane. just wondering.

    What would a bad condenser do?

    Basically I was running along, and BAM! no motor. I replaced the coil as it was leaking oil from it, still doing the same thing, Firing 1 time, then nothing. Wondering if maybe my condenser went bad also? It is raining cats and dogs right now and cant go outside to troubleshoot. thanks

    Tach is slow

    My Tach is a bit off, Mercruiser 888 (302 V8) , I have checked all connections and they seem sound. When in operation I am seeing around 2500-3000 RPM'S, When at idle the tach is at 0. Anything to look at here?
