    Yes, we are 15 miles south of Mille Lacs. The master plan is to tour American waterways and also take it down to the Baja. I own a campground so have the winters off, currently have a 40 foot fifth wheel but am starting to look for a truck camper so I can tow the boat.

    Rookie question. Where on the out board do I mount the positive and negative wires from the battery. I am assuming the positive goes to the starter motor but not sure on the negative

    That makes sense, with it sitting on the trailer I don’t think I am getting an accurate perspective vs being on the water.

    I am getting ready to rig up steering and throttle. Need to determine seat height, is there a rule of thumb for this? Planning on using a Binnacle mount throttle, I think that what was on it when I bought it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    So as I start to dig into the boat I think I have the hydraulic steering figured out. I plan on buying the etec oem throttle control and the question is do i need anything else to control the 175hp motor?
