    Strange Vent Hole in Lower Drive

    120 hp mercruiser loss of power at WOT

    I took the boat out last sun, and it was running ok with a 3 RPM loss at WOT. As the day went I lost all power and had to idle back to the ramp.     120 hp mercruiser exhaust shutter

    I just replaced my exhaust man. and riser and noticed that my exhaust shutter was just about gone. The ups guy just showed up with the new shutter and it appears to be just a flapper. Without having the boat here how do you install that? does it slip into grooves in the exhaust elbow? Thanks

    1971 mercrusier gimble bearing lube point

    I have a 1971 type 1 stern drive and only see three grease zerks. One at the very top of the transom plate the book says is the upper pivot zerk, and one on each side for the tilt pins. My question is where is the gimbal bearing zerk?

    1971 mercrusier 120hp charging system

    I just took the boat out of storage and during the green run I removed one of the batt. cables and the motor died. My Question is do I have a seperate voltage reg. or is it part of the alt.

    noise in sterndrive

    I have a 1971 120hp sterndrive that when I let off the throttle make a ratchiting noise. I haven't replaced the gimbal bearing but am planing on replacing it this spring. What could cause this noise? Thanks
