I presume that the majority of it will be the trolling motor determining the amount needed as per the current/wind for GPS lock and following tracks. I was using 100% as that's a worst case. I'd love to know I have enough for 80%+ of my trips with worst case in mind. It's also a nice to know in...
I don't recall there being a ton of space back from the hatch. The boat is sealed up for winter, so I can't check, but I think there is maybe 3-4 inches back from the hatch? If they fit sideways that may work. Site says they are ~6.75 wide and ~13 long. Not sure how wide the lockers would be...
I just went to double check the power and it lasting that long - nope that was for a smaller setup I was looking at for a buddy's boat. Looks like the batteries I found are 50AH and a max draw of 50A so 2 should be 100AH and 100A of max draw with a max pull from the Recon of 58A giving me only...
Charling is something I've yet to fully get into as the mounting location will determine how I do it. If I go stern I'll get a charger that can do both AGM and Li batteries so I can have one cord but if up front likely two chargers since I suspect my trolling motor won't burn down that much...
Thanks! Sounds like you align with what the mechanic said. I was hoping to keep it from under the seats as that's my only actual dry storage on the boat. A lot of that stuff though could live in the deck hatch if I could just keep it dry (stuff like shore power cord - can't leave at marina...
I have a 2019 Mercury 225XL, and the reason I wanted to do Lithium was to keep the weight down. An AGM based setup would be ~225lbs where the Lithium is going to be ~66lbs. With how small my boat is that weight difference feels noticeable.
That would be the one spot I said "I have a head in the console which makes installing them there kinda hard. I do have a spot along the side that stores the table which I almost never use. We debated installing them there if the batteries fit." in my OP. It is essentially a storage tray that...
Thanks, yeah the back isn't ideal for weight, though up front the only spot that seems to make sense is in the deck which seems far from ideal. In terms of gas, I don't think that's a problem with lithium batteries?
I have a Blackfin 212CC (pretty much exactly the same as the 222CC they have now) and am looking to install a Lowerance Recon 72 inch on the bow. I've decided on this motor because it works with the Simrad MFD's I have (Go 9's). For batteries I am thinking 2x 36V 50AH lithium from LiTime. When I...
I checked voltage at the terminals that go to the switch. Sounds like I need to take that back cover off and test further. There is red, while, black, orange as well as a grey bundle of wires.
I did have someone test with me to see if the lights were just off and no movement happened.
I have a 21ft CC with Lenco trim tabs that stopped working about 2 weeks ago. The lights on the switch do not light up anymore. Reading online said to check the fuse, it is okay and checked all connectors I could find. All seemed okay.
Is it likely the control switch that is not working?
Part...
The radio full up is less volume than I'd get out of my cell phone playing music. I have actually used speaker phone to call people while on plane and heard them better than I can my VHF. I wonder if it is because it is so low or if the speaker is just horrible.
Older people who don't drive and have a house make for great winter/trailer storage. I have family 5 minutes away in that type of situation and it works perfectly.
Why would you be removing the outdrive frequently?
As for needing it often, I have my boat (21ft center console) in a slip and I use my trailer 2x a year. Buddy with an I/O cuddy does the exact same.
