Transom is in!!!! All the bolts kinda had thier own angle so I strapped a 2X8 across the back & drilled from the inside, I had my wife help guide me through the last sheet. Worked amazing, even scared me, still waiting to see wants going to go wrong since that went so well.
Cut transom out of Coosa this weekend. I cut the Coosa a little large & used a flush bit on my router & the pattern to get to the proper shape. Got it glued & clamped & will shape the second piece with the router & flush bit before installation. Next problem will be to get holes drilled, good...
Made a proto transom out of a sheet of 1/2 inch last night. Tight fit & had to trim a bit. Markings on the plywood when I pulled it back out shows me where I need to work on divets, worse place was were the scuppers come through. Note to self, great to buy local but might be a good idea to check...
