When the lower unit was dropped, I hooked a test hose to the water tube and test the circulation. No blockage, strong stream from tell tale at low pressure. That's why I'm so confused when it won't pee when the motor starts and idles. Oh yea, I installed a new thermostat and seal too.

I separated the lower gear case from the mid section. I then removed the pin at the top of the drive shaft. Removed the impeller housing bolts. When I pulled up on the housing the drive shaft slipped out of the lower gear case with it.
