    Trout Variety?

Caught this the other day, never seen so many spots. Usually we catch rainbows, someone said it might be a brown. What do you think? It was caught in a small lake, just after ice out. Pretty sure this is a coyote on the ice, just cell phone pics so the zoom quality sucks.

1976 75HP Evinrude - Question Boat Service Companies Evaluation

I have a 1976 75HP Evinrude, I have rebuilt all 3 carbs and replaced spark plugs. I checked compression and spark on all cylinders. Service place is saying I have no spark on second cylinder. The boat runs high idling, and will die if you slowly accelerate the throttle under load. If I tap...

    Advice on boat purchase

I currently have a 14Ft Open Bow Seaswirl with a 1976 75HP Evinrude OB. The boat started out with a 40HP and I love the extra 35HP in the new to me engine. The boat has a max capacity of 4 (I have a family of 5). I fish with friends but mostly just to kill time. During the summer we love to go...

    iBoats Forum Displaying Weird

My son got a hold of my laptop, after about a billion key presses my iBoats menu displays vertically. Any clue how to fix it? I've tried clearing the cache and restarting the computer. Oddly enough it displays this way in IE as well as FireFox, that makes me think it's an iBoats specific...

    Rope Start Diffrences

I previously had a 1984 40HP Johnson, my memories from having to pull start it were that it was so hard to pull start that we almost gave up trying to start it we got so tired from pulling the rope. I changed engines to a 1976 75HP Evinrude about six months ago. I had not had to try to pull...

    evinrude 60 2 stroke

Re: evinrude 60 2 stroke Your choke lever is set to off as best as I can tell, you should be able to push the key in to choke it when starting. These are pics off my motor, it's newer (1976) than yours but I believe that function of that part is the same.

    evinrude 60 2 stroke

Re: evinrude 60 2 stroke Turning slowly is ok, you'll know when its in gear it will spin like crazy. Model number is usually on a tag on the right side of the motor transom clamp. Is is sometimes on a plug about the size of a quarter on the engine. Mine is located beneath the lifting hook...

    Throttle Cam Adjustment

Re: Throttle Cam Adjustment If you are talking about the 3 circles that run vertically up the cover, those are not holes, it is only a raised area on the casting of the front cover.

    Prop Identification

    Maximum Spark Advance

When checking Max. Advance on the water am I correct that as long as the timer base hits the stop the timing won't change if I push the throttle farther forward? Can I check Max by just raising the warm up lever high enough? Not sure if it is supposed to actually move that far by just the warm...
