    Stupid question I believe, but, do these ignition coils need to be grounded? I do not see any ground wires and when I look at replacement coils online they all have an earth wire.

    Got the choke working. Looks like the wires weren’t hooked up correctly. Purple with white stripe wire runs the 12v to the solenoid when key turned to on position and depressed, works great now.
