Just replaced starter on Volvo d4 and got a surprise when the starter engaged as soon as I turned battery switch on
I thought I was careful hooking back up the right way but maybe I hooked something in wrong place?
Thoughts or suggestions
Well I’ve cleaned and checked all the connections I can think of …. Also have done voltage drop tests on both positive sides and negative
Still nothing will start😭
Any ideas?

I am now thinking it may not be the starter anyway as I went to start kicker and not cranking just like main engine. can't be coincidence they both went out at once
all the accessory electronics work fine
Sooo guessing its a connection issue somewhere.... going to check, clean...

it is connected to a 703 box and when I turn the key nothing happens. I checked all the wires inside the box as well as the engine and everything looks good. I did notice a piece of the plastic casing on the neutral safety switch is missing so i'm thinking that. Is there a way to test that...
