    Tachometer started going in reverse

    This sounds like a Polarity issue, check all your wires and make sure you replaced them in the correct order. Also if you happened to disconnect the gauge itself make sure all contacts are correct. they should be color coded, you can look up marine wire color codes for proper identification...

    All the idiot lights are off at this time...They all do work when keyed on during com test. The only light that came on at first was the check engine light. After the filter change and didn't detect water in filter the light remained off.

    No I did not. The Motor was installed by an Evinrude dealer prior to me. The oil system is set up and in service, I probably should have noted the oil tank is full.. Thanks racerone,
