It's a bow rider. I can only find screws for the corner struts by the walk thru, and at the back where the frame extends to the hull.
Do I need to disassemble the windshield to find some track screws or something?
I can feel no protruding screw points inside the hull under the track area.
1988 Four Winns with an OMC Cobra outdrive.
First: The trim pump runs, but it's not raising or lowering the outdrive. I have seen NO leaks. How do I check the hydraulic fluid, and if it's full, what problem might I have run into?
Second: I need to clean and paint the outdrive unit. This...
Pulled a very wet floor out of the Four Winns today. Everything is really wet, but only one stringer needs to be repaired.
That being said, the foam seems to be soaked, at least at the top. If I kneel or push on it with any sort of concentrated pressure, water leeches out.
I propped a fan in...
I have an OMC 3.0 (1988-ish) in my Four Winns. I replaced the exhaust boot and gooseneck gasket the other day, and noticed a long pin going through the exhaust down pipe.
I didn't think much about it, until I saw a thread here about an exhaust shutter...
Apparently mine is gone, leaving...
To me this boat looks to have calcium on it? Makes me want to spray it down with CLR before doing anything.
But I'm not experienced with boat hull restoration. Here's the couple pictures I took when I bought it, and I will add more as needed. The hull and outdrive have a white scaly look to...
First off, eye candy:
When reassembling, should I use grease of some sort inside the cup so the impeller has a little help on first start up? I imagine it will help reassembly as well...
My exhaust boot(s) are dry rotted to all to hell.
Can anyone help with a part number? Are there any good how-tos online to make sure I get it right?
I've never done one, and I have a hard time believing it's as easy as it looks. Is it simply a fancied up Fernco collar?
Bottomline: waterpump went out, motor overheated.
I haven't torn it down yet to see if anything cracked, but it cranks real slow now, to the point of melting battery cables.
I could tear down and rebuild, assuming nothing cracked. From what I've found, I'm looking at a $600 outlay for...
Assuming they both run good, is there much involved in the swap?
I found a local guy with a trophy fishing boat with a 125hp Force (with stainless prop) for $1600. The boat itself is in good condition and includes the trailer. I'm thinking of picking it up, swapping the motors between mine...
This is the boat/hull design:
Here is the only information on the prop I can find:

Best I can gather from google, it's a 13x19 Michigan Wheel. Sound right?
It's got a chip missing from one blade, and a crack...
