while going over a link and synch in my service manual, it calls for a ignition analyzer for my timing. I do not own one of these. is it possible to do it using a multi meter and alligater clips. any info would be great. I have searched all over and have not found info on this matter.

I own a 95 evinrude intruder 175 and am having trouble with the idle. It will keep dieing off unless I push the choke in for a split second. if i idie around I always have trouble with this. can anybody help???
