Hello all... it has been awhile. The old Larson is still running great. Last summer we had a couple lake trips including a couple Trump boat rallys (lots of fun). I have been busy finishing a big motorhome rebuild project but finally dug the boat out yesterday and went to the local river...

Finally got around to adding a foam pad to the swim deck.... I really like it as I had slipped and fell a couple of times on the slippery starboard last summer. Bought the pad last summer on Ebay... It went on nicely and seems to be well adhered.

Even though I want the kid's boat project out of my hair, I had a weak moment last night and picked up a can of paint for the drive. I did not do it as properly as it should be done, but it is better than what the kids would have done on their own. A couple hours later after cleaning then...

Daughter and son in law decided they needed their own boat last week.... This means my motorhome project is suffering a bit of a delay. lol They bought themselves a 2005 Glastron GX 205. It has been in my shop now for nearly a week as I showed them how to clean it up and fix a bunch of issues...

Not much work being done this summer on the boat..... Just been using it. No issues, but boat needs new graphics/striping at some point as the old mettalic brown and gold is showing it's age. Thinking about going with black stripes graphics, but not sure yet. This past weekend the family...

My extended family and I had a great 7 days at a rented house on Lake Jimmerson/Lake James in Indiana. Swim platform was a hit. I got to try my Radar Theory waterski (it was a bit rough, but I popped right up each time and the ski felt solid). Boat sat in the water the whole time and there is...

I wanted through bolts/nuts to hold the lower brackets on vs lags or wood screws. Hard to explain, but where I put them is the only place I could get nuts on the back side without digging into my new deck/floor. I do not trust wood screws long term. I drilled (and chamfered) the holes in the...

Made it to the lake yesterday..... Platform worked well. It is a little slippery but the kids loved it. Need to come up with a better way to retain the ladder as the velcro strap is not very robust.

After finish TIG welding the frame (I used all but 1 remaining stick of aluminum filler rod), I used the dreaded Satan's glue (aka 3M 5200) last night to bed my fittings to the boat. Also pb epoxied the 1/2" ply back spacers to the inside and then dabbed anti-sieze on the stainless locknuts and...

Got my 3/4" thick King Starboard cut and edges routed.... Decided to just mount it on top as it was less work and I need the boat on Weds. I made some stainless lower brackets and mounted them to the transom with stainless through bolts (epoxied holes first then will bed in 5200). I tack welded...

1987 Ski Centurion Tru Trac II - First Time Rebuild - Floor, Engine, Dash, etc.

I used about 4.5 gallons of epoxy and 1/3 that amount of hardener doing right side stringers bulkheads and right floor plus glassed left deck, ski wells and fuel tank bay. PS: My Radar Theory showed up today. Still waiting on a fin from Radar that the seller had to order for me.

Got all my plastic saddles made (decided to do three per side). Fitted them to match hull then taped in place to the aluminum tube. Also traced their position to hull. Then I removed the frame back drilled it through the plastic. Next used a saddle as a drill bushing lined up to the traced...

1995 Larson 214 LXI... Floor and stringers

Got my swim platform frame tig welded up minus the cross bracing for a test fit. It will have to attach to the kickout portions of the back of the boat just below the rub rail. These bulged out portions are just really thin fiberglass so I had to get inside and grind them a bit then I layed up...
