    Optimax lower unit/drive shaft question

    Is there any way to know if it has a one piece drive shaft or two piece without removing the lower unit? It's a 2001 225.

    I know, I know.. another engines running rough thread!

    Just got to fire my boat up won't idle for crap. Things I have done are: Emptied fuel tank. Rebuilt all carbs. Replaced fuel lines. Replaced fuel filters. Changed spark plugs. Replaced clamps on all hoses. While they are at idle the starboard engine keeps making a sound like "dunk" "dunk"...

    Which Gasket

    Can anybody take a look at the parts diagram for 1988 225's and tell me which gasket stops water from coming up into the lower cowling? I think it's probably this one, 48 0333434 SEAL but it might also be 114 0398200 SEAL ASSY., Exhaust hsg.

    Hi guys, I purchased a boat that has been sitting a while it has a 200 and a 225 on it... Model numbers e200txetf and e225txerk now the thing is, the engines look like they are from 1986 according to the cowlings, lower units, carb hose route, etc. yet I believe these model numbers are 1993-94...

    There weren't any 4 stroke 150's in 04 correct?
