Throttle stuck and I manhandled the linkage and broke the weld on this piece. Have the plate soaking in pb now. How screed am I with this piece busted? Can it be soldered or tigged back on somehow?

I want to make a long shaft out of a short that runs but has a crack in a housing and a long that has been picked up art for parts. Would it be best to swap heads or fix the crack somehow and swap lower units? Any help would be appreciated thank you.
