I just rebuilt my tilt and trim for my 1997 Evinrude 175..
Looking back through the manual I realize my mistake... I didn't add fluid to the cylinders before closing up the end caps!!! doh!!
My question is... Can I just open up the end caps and add fluid?? Or can I keep adding...

I think i've found a solution to my dead cylinder (wasted piston) in my 1980 Johnson 140 25in shaft.....
I am about to purchase a 1980 Johnson 140 20in shaft motor for replacement. Can anyone confirm that it is possible to change out the mid-sections and make this work???
