Thank you folks for the comments.
I am going to follow the 10 hour break in and re torque the heads at 10 hours.
As for the VRO, I am deleting it. I pulled the powerhead and there seemed to be a good bit of excess 2 stroke oil in the exhaust to me. The VRO might be okay and I have a rebuild...
I need some help making sense of the break in procedure. OBR's website says to do a 10 hour break in. I get that, there are 4 parts that is confusing me.
This is for a 1995 90 hp, my model is E90TLEO
It reads in one part to retorque the heads at 10 hours after cool down, in another section...
I have a 1995 E90TLEO, crossflow, flatback that has water in the lower left cylinder.
Started as what I thought was a cylinder head cover gasket leak. It kinda was. So I replaced it and fired up the motor on muffs. It was still leaking, I re-checked the torque and it was in spec at 80 inch...
That is probably my best option. I'm looking at Crowley now. They have a 100hp powerhead for the 90 degree crossflow lower to replace my 90hp crossflow.
Do you know if they are reliable?
Jeff
I need to replace a 1995 Evinrude 90hp that has a water jacket crack/brake somewhere putting water in the lower left/port looking at the motor from the back.
I am in WV and used or reman outboards are hard to find.
Any recommendations on a reliable source of used or remanufactured outboards...
I understand racerone and yes. It is pretty simplistic. But, everything is checking out to spec and there still appears to be a problem.
As I said, I will water test this weekend and see if the higher RPM will produce more voltage.
I really don't have much experience with this sort of thing...
racerone, what do you mean by that?
Me to stop posting?
I will water test it this weekend and see if the higher RPM will increase the voltage output.
