    Starter

    WHat does the starter selenoid do? Does it give an extra kick to strter? Starter spins but does'nt engage gear. I checked the selenoid and it had 1-2 ohms when closed.

    Starter

    If the starter does not stay engaged long enough is this the starter selenoid? When the starter engages it spins for a second or 2 then dis-engages. Not long enough to fire off.
