    Carb rebuild

    Merc 500-50hp I ordered 2 repair kits for this motor it comes with a new welch plug & body channel plugs . I have no idea how to remove these parts. Seems like they need to be drilled out. Can I get by without doing so?? Also the idle tube (brass screw) is frozen, must it comeout and be replaced...

    Fuel Line TOO Costly

    Merc. 500-50hp requires (3)3" rubber replacement fuel delivery hoses. At a price of $30. Who are they kidding,they look like automotive reinforced hoses.Can't I use they automotive hose,& save some $$'s.<br /> [B]Its not like it's going to rust, right..!!

    Pulled both carbs off merc 500-50hp noticed that (1) venturi was missing.Could this be a reason the motor won't start up ??
