    Bravo 1 low water pressure

Yes im sure its for water pressure, all testing is done with the techmate pro scan tool and the boat in a fresh water lake with open cooling. Impeller and pump housing are new with great pressure on cold starts, just slow to build pressure when warmed up. Pressure is fine in cruise always.

    Bravo 1 low water pressure

Haha yes thanks for finding my old post, Its standard cooling, the poppet valve is in the thermostat housing

    Bravo 1 low water pressure

Impeller is new and so is pump. Check balls would definitely keep me from having enough back pressure. How do you check those?

    Bravo 1 low water pressure

Hi group, still having the same problem here. When engine is warm and thermostat is open, i dont have enough back pressure to build up enough water pressure fast enough to keep the alarm from going off. When the engine is cold it immediately jumps to 2.5 psi and doesnt have any problems. This...

    Bravo 1 water pressure issues

Well dangit it has the green T installed. Maybe its just a design flaw that allows a little to much water to the exhaust since its the first year catalyst motor. Look how many places the water splits off to the exhaust its no wonder it has any back pressure at all. Where could i add a...

    Bravo 1 water pressure issues

that makes sense, this is the first year of the catalyst motors. Would be easy to use the wrong T on the assembly line. Would explain everything especially why i dont have a problem untill the thermostat opens and decreases backpressure. Ill check for the correct part number

    Bravo 1 water pressure issues

ill keep skyman2112. Did you see my water flow video? Does it look sufficient?

    Bravo 1 water pressure issues

yes its both my profiles, i couldnt log in 1 day. The motor has a 5psi oil pressure switch i was told to delay starting. Its always started this way since new. I will check those voltages. It has a 3 wire sensor so its no longer grounded to the case of the cooler as in the 2 wire sensors.

    Bravo 1 water pressure issues

yeah thats the most common reply i hear of. Did you see my water flow video? Does it seem restricted to you? I was just gonna reduce the input voltage to the water pressure sensor by using a voltage divider. You wouldnt happen to know the values of resistors i could use for that would you...

    Bravo 1 water pressure issues

hi again still struggling with my low pressure alarm. I see a Tee just above the pump output line that goes to the exhaust riser. Its a small diamter hose not sure what i should look for? Heres a video of my scan tool readings done with the boat in the water, not on shore. Then a video of the...

    Bravo 1 water pressure issues

did you figure out a way to put resistors on this pesky sensory I still have to rev the engine every time i start it to keep the idle pressure readings up. How about a voltage divider in the 5v supply line Reduce it to 4.5 volts so its reads a higher psi..

Gaurdian mode when engine is warmed up

thats a very good point. Ill have to take a look at the check valves . I think its flares up on start up. I do a manual flare up of sorts to keep the alarm from going off. Its the only thing i found to keep the alarm off so far.

Gaurdian mode when engine is warmed up

well so much for that idea. What else could make it slow to build water pressure when the engine is warmed up? One of the marinas that viewed my video told me the alarm is going off too fast, it should take longer than 15 seconds to set off the low water pressure alarm. I reset the codes as...

Gaurdian mode when engine is warmed up

someone asked me if i have the right exhaust elbow gasket and there is 3 different ones to choose from. Well i guess if the factory put the wrong one in it could cause me to have low back pressure when the thermostat is open. That would make it hard to build pressure when warmed up.

Gaurdian mode when engine is warmed up

yeah i had my ECM updated last year but not to change the horn sounding. I dont have a check engine light so not sure ithis bulletin applies. Does it prevent gaurdian mode from kicking in? I didnt see anything about that I found a temporary fix, i just rev the engine during warm startups, it...

Gaurdian mode when engine is warmed up

Hello Muc, my engine S/N is 1A645849. My water pressure from about 3000-5200 is unaffected by rpm and fluctuates on the Rinda scan tool from 13-15 psi. The rpm for cold and hot starting is the same around 700rpm i think, cant remember the exact number but its non adjustable and within spec as i...

Gaurdian mode when engine is warmed up

Hey group, my 2011 Crownline 21SS with a 6.2L 377 MAG w/cats, Bravo 1, is slow to build water pressure when engine is warmed up only. Takes over 15 seconds to exceed 1psi so it sets off the alarm and goes into gaurdian mode temporarily. Seems like theres not enough back pressure when the...

    New 205ss crownline-is 200 HP enough?

You will be very disappointed with that size boat and only 200hp. Its a total dog for water sports with any kind of load inside the boat. Get an older boat with a bigger engine if price is a concern.
