    Just wondering I have a chance to replace my 1985 75hp with a 90 hp would I gain anything I get about 40 on a real good day now it wouldn't cost anything it's a freebie just needs a little tlc and some cosmetic stuff.

    WOT what should it be

    I have a 1985 Merc 75hp what should the WOT be for this engine I usually get around 5200 to 5500 rpm and 38 to 40 MPH is that about right?

    I had my 75hp Merc rebuilt in 2001 woyld it still be a good idea to decarbonize it even though I always run wot and idle very little?

    stall and bog

    my outboard won't take gas slowly if I try it stalls if I slam the throttle it bogs alittle but then goes. it just started this year so I rebuilt the carbs still the same what's up 75hp Merc 1985

    choke sticking

    is it possible for the solenoid to stick or do you have to replace it it works sometimes and others it do'nt. also rebuilt carbs and motor does not like to take fuel slow but will take it full throttle with a little hesitation and when trying to put on trailer bogs out completely then restarts...
