    scotty eletrics wires backwards??

    isnt in basic electrics black usually hot the positive/hot and the white ground?? i put on the new plugs for it, the directions say to put the hot wire in #2 and other in#1 holes of the new male end on the plug(it didnt mention colors though), so asuming black was hot. when i plug it to battery...

    works great, but now the speed handle adjustment wont stay in place if i want to go a certain speed it virbates back down to a lower speed. how do i stop this?

    i recently got one its runs good at lower evlevations, but has periods when up higher like at 5000ft its trolling speed slows down then speed back up, why does it do that?
