    i have a 1998 350 mercruiser I/O. just replaced starter and selonoid (attached to the starter) however at times when i try to cranck the boat by turning the key, nothing happens. it is only and luckly after a few key turns that she starts. could it be the key or the other selonoid?

    she won't go over the 2000 rpm when in gear

    No RPM higher than 2000 when in gear. what is it?

    Just rebuilt 98 Mercruiser 350 EFI Magnum w/new manifolds. Everything is brand new (spark plugs, wires, engine parts etc.). But did not work on fuel system. when in gear, does not go above 2,000 RPM. in nuetral it revs up just fine. what could it be

    Low RPM only when in gear

    In neutral I can get the engine up to the RPM limit no problem. And it sounds great. But when I put it in gear (in the water), it won't go above 2,000 rpm... I am told it may be the gas?? It's a Mercruiser 350 EFI
