    runs great..too good i thought i shut it of today but didnt and ir run for 20min tilited up ..got back to the dock and ran it for a while to cool it..still runs good but now the oil light wont come on..did i cook the oil pump with it running tilted up?

    bought the motor used don't know when the carbs were cleaned..compression is 170-170 great spark and starts and idles flawlessly at 800 rpm..i get out of the canal and hit it and it takes off great but then bogs down after 30 yards and idles like crap and wont take off..let it sit and idles...

    i picked up a motor on ebay last week and got it fired up to and the water seems not to be pumping the greatest..i found this youtube clip and it pumps about the same is this right..new impeller is on the way anyways but i ran the motor and it gets hooter than my two stroke...

    my buddy has this motor and i am thinking about buying it off him..he bought it new and put 15hrs on..i get everything tank maintenance kit and all that jazz. he told me $1000.. i was gonna buy a new 6hp but would rather go with a 2 cly. motor .. is this a fair price

    i am in he process of re-rigging my boat..i have the motor hung and control cables hooked up and all seem to be fine but when i go from forward or reverse back to neutral i have to push the warm up lever back to the down position..just a touch maybe 1.5" or so..could this be cause my cables are...

    well my 78 55hp rude took its last breath last week..i have no clue why but it blew a rod and went through the block..i found a power head off a 71 50hp..is this compatible with my carbs and power pack..if not what is compatible

    i have been having issues with my motor this spring...it wants to die at low idle speed when going through the canal and when i get to the big waters if i slowly give it throttle it will die...but if i throw the hammer down it takes off like a champ..and runs fine..any suggestions...thanx

    replaced the lube for the winter and the vent screw wont tighten up..is this the proper screw,there is also a spring type thing where the threads go (heli coil?)

    i was out on the river today and it was kinda rough... i hit a wave a my motor jerked for a sec and started to shake real bad...i was hitting 24mph on gps now i can only 19mph... would a bad mount cause u to loose a few mph at wot.... the front mounts have no play in them the back mounts have...

    prop for a 14.5' alum. side con.

    the boat wt. is 440 so with both trolling and main with me its around 800...its has a 78 55hp rude with a bs 4 blade propulse running at 14p... i have no tach i order a tiny tach today it just dont sound like its hitting 5600 which is the power band for the motor and tops out at 27.5 mph...

    i have a early 90's 6hp merc that i use for a trolling motor i just had the carb cleaned last year but it smokes bad im running it at 50-1 right now with Pennzoil premium plus do these little mercs just smoke it runs great besides the smoke but its getting to me

    when im on plane the bow rides low in the water the motor is all the way in the down position (no tilt/trim) if i move the bar up a hole or two should it bring the bow up a bit
