    I have yet to do a compression check on my newly acquired 87 dt85. I can smell old gas. Is there a way to drain carbs without removing them ? Should I avoid doing a compression check until gas is removed ? I would use a jumper wire on solenoid to prevent spark/ignition. Is there an alternative...

    I aquired a Suzuki 1987' DT85, and want to do a compression check. Do I need to ground coils or anything before doing comp. check ?

    1965 Merc 9.8 prop shaft removal

    The manual I have only goes back to 72', Does the shaft on my 1965 9.8come out the same as a 72 9.8 ? Got the carrier nut off, now what? Clamp shaft in soft jaws and tap case ?
