    Could using ngk plugs induce a high speed miss?

    I changed the plugs from ql77jc4 champions to ngk and I now have a miss in the motor e225cxcce. Could a simple plug change cause this? I am going to check the spark this afternoon at a 7/16 gap. Boy I hope the spark is good. Maybe I just got a bad plug.

    Cleaning head gasket surface on block

    I just got my heads back from the machine shop one was out of true by .004 so they took .006 off both heads. What is the best way to prep the block surface before installing the gaskets and heads?

    planing heads evinrude 225 cxcce 1988

    I overheated my motor this spring first time out. After that I changed thermostats, waterpump, and head gaskets. I believe I am still getting water in the bottom 2 cylinders.
