    Soft Spots?

I've been reading alot of threads regarding leaks and soft spots and realized that when I bought my boat I didn't even check for these. I guess I figured the boat was too new(1996) and in to good of condition for it. My attitude has changed a bit and I would like to check my deck for soft...

    Land & Sea Transom Jack

Anybody use this on their current setup? I am considering buying one. I have a bass boat so I think just the reduced draft will benefit me as well as all of the other benefits supposedly reaped from this thing. It is used so what should I look for to make sure it is in good condition? Thanks...

    Is there such an animal?

I have an I/O and was looking for ways to increase performance. Someone told me about a "Transom Jack for the sterndrive". I guess this is basically a jackplate for an I/O. Anybody ever heard of this? Any idea on prices? Any other ideas on increasing performance. The boat performs great...

This may be a dumb question, but reading a previos post brought it to my attention. Had my boat winterized last year and they changed the fuel filter. Was just wondering, does anybody know if I have a fuel filter and a water seperating fuel filter or is this one in the same? I have a...

    Louisiana Largemouth

Anybody down there fishin' Toledo Bend yet? Was supposed to go down there on the 1st, but I'm alittle hesitant. I have an i/o and would hate to have to drain / winterize again. What's the weather like? Will probably postpone for now.

    Trolling Motor Protection

Is it a resetable circuit? I sometimes blow my circuit with a 12 / 24v system if I run on top speed for an extended time. I don't know if the motor works to hard and heats up or what, but after a minute or so, I reset the circuit by pushing in a little button on top and works fine again...

    Insurance claim

I purchased a Boat last year and at the end of the season had it winterized only to find out the engine is out of alignment. I had it checked out before I bought it and the mechanic made no note about it. The only thing I can think of is one, I hit a log on the river which may have knocked it...

    Kill switch replacement

Last summer my kill switch went bad. I tried dis-assembling my commander 3000 and could not figure out how to remove the switch. Probably an easy task for most of you guys, but I'm a newbie. I ended up bypassing it for the summer. The marine wanted $125 to replace which seems a bit crazy. I...
