    98 Johnson 50 timing ?

    have a 50 Johnson and the screw on the timer base work itseif out .So now i need to set timing and not sure the way I'm doing it is right.I'm hooking timing light to #1 plug.sticker on side of motor says 1 degree ATDC.so do you just turn the screw on the timer base till i see 1 degree ATDC.

    2006 90 mercury weak spark on #1 cyc.

    I have a 06 90 merc.Just rebuilt motor ran it for the first time today notice that the #1 spark plug wire had weak spark.pulled off that spark plug cap and held wire to the plug and can see spark but does shoot spark to the plug like #2 &3.clean cabs didnt help.any heip please

    should i use lock tight on the new rod bolts.30 foot pounds.so when the torque wrench shows 30 foot pounds and then turn the torque wrench another 90 degrees or do i have to buy a special wrench
