    soon i'll be getting an 8 h.p 4s and thinking of useing a transom saver . the cross member that runs acroos the back of the trailer is 3 " thick are most transom savers able to fit that thickness ? are there different sizes for different trailers?

    casting deck

    ok i've done my removable floors on my 14' seanymph and that went pretty smooth just have to put some carpet on them, now the casting deck . what i have is a 4x8 pc. of 1/8" of fiber board and gonna fit it to my deck area then trace it to my 4x8 plywood, now when everything is in place...

    i know bottom paints can get expensive but is there another paint that i can use in place of that , just looking to to make look half way decent.can and can i use an interior or exterior paint for the inside of the hull it's a small jon boat nothing fancy or expensive.

    6 h.p or 8 h.p 4 stroke

    just bought this 14' aluminum 140 lb. sea nymph , now i'm looking to get a 4 stroke motor and since i'm the one taking it on and off i want to make sure it's light anough, i was going toward an 8h.p but it' wgt's about 85 lbs but the 6 h.p only wgt's about 65 lb's. now me being 180 lb's...

    setting boat on bunk trailer

    should be picking up a 14' v hull soon i v'e allways used a flat bottom and never had to use the rollers now when setting a v hull to the bunks to the rollers should the boat be on the bunks as well as the rollers or aii the wgt. should only be on the bunks with a little gap between the keel...

    transom question

    looking at a 1972 starcraft 14' from the pics it looks good but haven't visually looked at it , my question is how does the wood on the transom hold up for all those years providing it was in good shape but then again were talking 35 years. if need to replace the wood is it hard to do?
