    prop suggestion?

    i have a '88 20 ft sweetwater pontoon, and a 82 mercury 50 hp 4cylinder 2 stroke.. i just got it recently, and although it does cruise ok, if you get to high in the rpms, it starts to cavitate.. you guys with similar setups, what prop are you using? would 'whale fin' help?? it is a manual trim...

    i just got a merc 50, andi was told it is a 82 from the previous owner.. the problem is, there is a serial on the transom mount, and there is another serial on the powerhead on the lower housing.. this one is pop rivited on, and looks like a official enough merc tab. the serial on the transom...
