    my 1972 125 needs to get a few more rpms (about 300 to 500rpms) and it has on it a 13 3/4 x 15 should i go to a smaller dia. or less of a pitch?

    ok i got my boat out and ran it for a couple of hours it ran great would hope right out of the water and move speedo said it was at 35 to 36 mph. but i dont know if i can trust that its the old water pressure thing.. i think i was moving faster but oh well my question is at top end wot im only...

    spark sometimes on my 72 johnson 125

    took my boat out this weekend and on friday it ran great for the half hour we were on the lake thne on saturday there was no spark...i was told that the battery could be the prob. but i want to be sure... any way of knowing for sure? if i take and put a new battery in it and it work am i good to...

    72 johnson water pump

    I was wondering where the tattle tail is on this motor its a 125hp 1972 and I cant find it any where. or if there is one, the water pump works just don't know where the tattle tail is, if it even has one. <br /><br />thanks<br />Nathan

    1972 125hp johnson lost the spark

    it was working fine yesterday shut it off let it sit overnight charged the batt. went out this morning and no spark. checked all connections all are good battery is fine fully charged...Im thinking that the cdi unit went on it but im not sure on how to be sure other than spending the 200 to 300...

    I was wanting to know if im over reacting.....I couldn’t get the motor to fire up so i pulled all the plugs out, thinking I had flooded the motor, and turned it over and water started spitting out of all four cylinders what could this be blown heads cracked cylinders. Any help would be nice..<br...

    I was just woundering if this is a good motor havent started it up yet. Just woundering if they are known for having any probs. Going through all the stuff posted on a sitting motor startup. so far so good, thinkin of decarbing it too. <br /><br />Thanks<br /> Nathan
