    88SPL Gearcase disassembly. stuck. see image

    Got all the way past the 2 Ring clips and removed the reverse gear. Is there another step to take before I can slide the propeller shaft out? -or- do I now use a wrench to lock onto the pinion nut while i turn the shaft counter-clockwise. thanks PS: 1995 88SPL
