    Idle RPM ??? Johnson 70hp

    What should the idle rpm be on a 1974 Johnson 70 hp? Mine seems to be quite high in neutral then put it in gear and it dies, took the carbs off and rebuilt them, checked the reeds they are clean and not stuck, changed the plugs, put it back together and same rusults, checked for vac. leaks...

    Kingfisher Bass Boat(Info needed) Help

    Anyone know anything about Kingfisher Bass Boats?     To move steering console or not Help

    I was thinking of moving the steering console forward on a 72 Chrysler 16' bass runner, will moving it and the seats forward 3' cause the boat to be nose heavy and will it affect performance, i'm running a 70hp Johnson tilt and trim

    rpm too low

    find a friend or a dealer that has either a smaller diameter prop or one with less pitch, get the rpm up to 5500 wot and you will see a lot of difference, also see if there is a hook in the hull of your boat that will push the bow down and then farmer john you are plowing. (hope this helps) :D

    Chrysler floor and stringers???

    Does anyone know what size plywood the stringers and floor in a Chrysler pro bass runner 16' are? It looks like the floor is 1/2" but the stringers are hard to tell they are all swollen.
