    Saw a pair of coils and points for sale for my 1960 5.5 fisherman. Seller stated very little use about 15 yrs old. The plug wires were not attached to the coils. The ends do not appeared to be damaged. Can they be reinserted with no problems.

    bristol corsair 24'

    Looking to purchase a "77" bristol corsair 24'. Owner said it has some deck damage that requires some fiberglass work. He said it may be a balsa core. I thought these were all made with solid fiberglass hull and decks? Anyone have any input?

    O day fixed keel

    Could anyone tell me how far below the hull the keel extends on a 1977 oday 22' with the fixed keel. I have borrow a trailer to pick one up and the owner is elderly and cant measure it for me. thanks-wes

    jib sail

    Saw a jib sail for sail. The luff and leech are the same length 17 ft and the foot is 9 ft. The seller checked this twice. my boat is a fractional sloop , it can take a jib/genoa sail with up to a 19 ft leech. I was wondering though how this sail would perform being two sides are the same length

    mooring in NY

    How effective would a bare 350 chev engine block be as a mooring weight for a 20 ft sailboat weighing only 1700 pds. It would be in a harbor mostly landlocked with a small inlet . Anyone ever use one for this purpose?

    eveinrude 5.5 lube amount

    Just removed lower plug on a 1960 5.5 fisherman I just picked up, yikes two cups of water came out. Is the upper plug a similiar slotted one 8 inches up, just above the water intake holes? How much gear lube is needed?

    Can a 1960 evinrude 5.5 hp be converted to a 7.5 by simply changing the carb. I bought what I was told was a 5.5, but before paying the seller he told me about the mod. I still bought it because it ran good, and he threw in a new gas tank.
