    WOT V 3/4 Throttle

    I have seen plenty of post that say to run the boat at WOT. I have a 115 on an aluminum 19' Crestliner that planes easily at 1/2 throttle. I like to run it at 3/4 Throttle when cruising out to the fishing site. This surly cant hurt the motor can it?

    Impeller ? for 115 omc 1976

    when I went to replace my Impeller with a new one, I noticed the new impeller had a flat spot on the in side and, the shaft has a round type key way. Did omc change the key way over the years or, is the flat type ok with the round key way?

    Adding oil to the TNT pump

    One of my TNT cylinders has a small leek (I plan on fixing it) When replacing the oil do you pump the oil in or fill to plug -lift-fill-lift. It's a 1977 115 Johney. Also the parts man at the local marine said if the valve body was bad it could not be rebuilt. Is this true?

    I currently have a 1976 115 and have a line on a 1977 115. the 1977 runs better and has power trim so, this is the one I plan on using. The 1976 will be kept as a back or parts. Did these motors change much in one year?

    Honda 9.9 Alternator?

    My honda 9.9 (2002 model) has a plug next to the handle that says 12 volts 6 amps? I'm guessing this is a plug to an alternator? If so can I just get a plug to fit it and hook it up to keep my battery charged when using it as a kicker?

    The timing on my 1975 115 says to set it at 24 deg btdc.. I checked it today and, it was only 6 deg. btdc I looked and looked and could not figure out how to reset it. Can any one tell me where the adjustment is for timing? Thanks. Ken.
