    I've found an original 1977 service manual on ebay. My question is: will the 1977 book cover my 78 140? Is there any difference between these two motors besides cosmetic? Thanks guys

    140 HP Johnson

    I was told this was a 1971 but apparently it's not. 140 HP Johnson. Two pistons have minor damage from broken rings. I will replace pistons and rings on all 4 cylinders and whatever comes up beyond that. Is this motor worth repairing or is it an anchor? So what year is it? Model: 140ML 78C...
