Bennett SLT-10 Self-Leveling Trim Tabs - Vertical Mounting

Purposing is caused by too high of a trim angle. Trim down to stop proposing. The boat’s weight and deadrise are not conducive of rough water performance. If you want to increase performance in adverse conditions, investigate high lift props.

Bennett SLT-10 Self-Leveling Trim Tabs - Vertical Mounting

Get the tabs too close to the keel and you end up with a stability issues. Boat wants to teeter tooter, port to starboard and back Unless your a fair weather, lake boater that doesn't do "conditions", self adjusting tabs are not going to cut it.

    1998 evinrude 225 ocean pro help #2!

The hose is pushing a whole lot more water than the water pump. 5 psi at idle at best. Make sure the water tubes isn't rotted thru and that both grommets are in place.

    Do I need a trailer?

In my neck of the woods you would be fined by Natural Resources Police or Coast Guard for causing "a film or sheen upon, or discoloration of, the surface of the water" when you launch your boat.

Before I went through all that trouble, I'd back flush the system using the flush port using the full pressure of your water supply.

    Boat reverse polarity

Reverse polarity in a AC circuit is a grounding issue. Swapping the wires of an AC supply makes no difference to the load. Has their been any electrical work done on the supply line? The most common cause is reversing the neutral (blk) and hot (wht) wires on a receptacle or plug. White or red...

    1998 evinrude 225 ocean pro help #2!

What is the temp of the water? If the water is too cold, it can take a minute for the water to come up to temp and open the stats. Having said that, I can't say if that's typical behavior or not when running the motor out of the water. The motor is designed to run off the flushing port. I've...

New boat owners leaving the hobby

Quite a change from 10-15 years ago when there were waiting lists and huge backups at the ramps on opening day of Trophy Striper season. Since they closed trophy season and moved the opening day of Striper season back a month (fish are gone), most like myself can’t see spending $$$ in fuel...

    Boat reverse polarity

Guessing this is your AC panel since hooking up the batteries backwards would have “smoked” any electronics onboard. Either your power cord or power reciprocal has neutral and ground switched

    Do I need a trailer?

Depends on the weight of the boat. I hulled a 12' Montgomery Ward Sea King aluminum boat with a Johnson 5 hp around in the back of a pickup with a 8' bed for years. No problem getting the #120 hull in and out of the truck by myself.

    Humminbird issues

The computer is failing to initiate/boot. Make sure all software updates are done. Could be waiting for a response from a peripheral, communicate link, map chip, etc. Unplug all peripherals (transducer, link, gps module, etc.) and try again. If that doesn’t work you’ll need to have it...

Wild ass guess not knowing the acceptable range parameters of said sensors…..the voltage on your accelerator position sensors are 0.024 volt apart. The throttle position sensors are almost 2.0 volts apart

Merc 377 MAG DTS AXIUS electrical issue

The only way to get 8.5 volts from a 12.5 source is by resistance or excess current draw. Current flows from positive to ground. A bad connection/wire (increased resistance) can be on the supply or ground side of the circuit. To troubleshoot this properly, you need to dig into the schematics...
