Ayuh,...... So do yer compression test,.......
If that's acceptable, drain, 'n isolate the block's cooling passages, 'n pressurize to 10/ 15 psi, 'n listen,......
It the block is cracked/ leaking, you'll hear the air escaping, follow the sound of the noise to the crack,....
Ayuh,..... Many, if not most grease gun couplers don't adjust tightness like in Scott's video,....
Seein's I've been greasing stuff since the '60s, I've collected alotta grease adapters, from tight right angle adapters to Cat track adapters to many others, a coffee can full of 'em,....
Now...
Ayuh,..... It can, 'n does happen, just as Grub states,.....
It can freeze long enough, 'n cold enough to push out the core plugs, then temps warm, allowin' the water to drain out,.....
If it freezes again, the block will survive,....
Oh boy,..... Now I'm confused,.....
I read Ghg's post to say, he's going to a taller geared drive, with the smaller motor,....
Maybe I missed the boat here,.....
Ghg, What motor do you have,..??..??
Ghg, Which drive do you intend to run,..??..??
Ayuh,.... Then you'll need to drop some prop pitch,.....
Donno how much though, depends on which ratio the drive is,.....
What prop pitch were you running on the I-4, when it had the proper ratio,..??
Hopefully, you'll be able to find a prop small enough,.....
