Ya know what, you are 100% correct!!! I also love this title!!! I am totally changing it to this if I can figure out how!!!!😂😂😂😂 Will do! I will not overexert myself, but at the same time, if I am feeling up to it and not having too much pain, I am 100% going to be productive...even if it...

Bought my first boat to cut, gut and rebuild from bow to stern, including engine. Killed my back and suffered the wrath of the fiberglass demons

Meant to post this Thursday Past 2 days has been slow on the boat. Got some damn bone spurs in my spine acting up and bending over is painful, so as far as glasswork goes, I was only able to fillet in both stingers completely, and was able to tab 2 layers of 1708 on the entire length of the...

    First boat! 1989 Quantum 1800xb Force 125

Vintlest will allow you to gel coat , so you're good there. Do you have any fiberglass? And how are you going to work on this if you don't have an area to work?

Bought my first boat to cut, gut and rebuild from bow to stern, including engine. Killed my back and suffered the wrath of the fiberglass demons

Yes. Glass will overlap either way. I was asking if I should put bare wood to bare wood and glass over, or put bare wood bulkheads to glassed over stringers and then glass in both together to create that anti moisture barrier between the bulkhead and the stringer.

I believe I am already at 1.5% or whatever the tail end of that ratio is......but I will see what i can do if the new resin created the same issue.

I might do that with the bulkheads. Thanks! What do you say on my other question? Should pb into bare stringer wood and glass over or glass over the stringers first and then pb in to give it that barrier just in case?

Bought my first boat to cut, gut and rebuild from bow to stern, including engine. Killed my back and suffered the wrath of the fiberglass demons

I'm not sure.... whatever three outside temp is at...... it's inside a portable garage.... and I had left the resin out there instead of in my basement. I'm hoping as it gets cooler... it'll work slower and fine me more time before kicking off.

Bought my first boat to cut, gut and rebuild from bow to stern, including engine. Killed my back and suffered the wrath of the fiberglass demons

Progress is slow... but it's still progress. I finished fileting in the stringers yesterday and tabbed in ½ of the outside of the starboard stringer. I hadn't been noticing that my resin is kicking alot quicker than normal. Could this be because of the age? Either way....I think it's safe to say...

    Glastron soft floor

I ran a pressure test on my tank after removing it. I didn't go a hair over 3psi. Everything worked perfect. Sprayed soapy water all over it...No bubbles.....I then cleaned it up and added a layer of resin over it for extra protection...Personal choice...not mandatory. just saying...The man is...
