    Darn Mice Can Be Expensive

Wait until you have a four and a half foot black snake come down through an overhead heater duct and brush against your ear while you are moving in a skidsteer. The good side of it was I am not one who has a snake phobia plus the mice were gone. This Winter no snake but when I turned my...

    Computer Illiterate?

My wife got a Chromebook last year with the new touchpad and touch screen and I also found it much easier to just plug in the mouse. I am some what a Luddite as my cell is just a flip phone so I haven't mastered the one, tow three finger techniques. There are some good third party software...

    Wasn’t sure where to post.

I have a 12' Myers aluminum that I ran a 5 hp Merc on for a couple of years. It flew right along with it and I think you will be more than happy with the smaller motor.

Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

    What's Old Becomes 'New' . . .

I am a firm believer in not getting rid of any thing that might be useful someday. (my wife defines it as being a hoarder) I recently found several 17 year old Dell laptops at a garage sale for 15 bucks each, talked him down to two for twenty. Wiped the hard drives an installed Linux and...

Or this; This is what all my Amish neighbors use. Since I am the last house on the power line on our lane and half the other houses don't have electric I bought one for myself. They are on casters so you can move them from room to room. Haven't used it much and still have the original...

1992 Evinrude 150hp EXEN will not run correctly

I don't think fuel restriction is connected to the SLOW, just the buzzer. The buzzer would sound a steady buzz when my fuel line got pinched once or twice when I tilted the motor from up to down.

1992 Evinrude 150hp EXEN will not run correctly

Check for spark on each bank with a clamp on timing light while it is cutting out. A two man job. A fuel restriction well also cause the buzzer to go off. Had a friend with a similar problem of going into slow now and then but it rarely happened. He asked me to look at it later because of...

1992 Evinrude 150hp EXEN will not run correctly

Had an almost identical thing happen on my 150 some years ago. In my case the little roller on the throttle cam folower had fell off. The roller and C clip were laying in the lower housing and a 10 minute fix.

    Help identify boat hull

Can't help much with that particular hull but it looks a lot like a copy of one of Forrest Wood's Ranger boats from the early 70's. Back in those days many fiber glass boat makers would "borrow" other companies designs.

Cost? Anybody in S. Wisconsin want to rebuild my transom?

Yep, a fellow I worked with inherited his fathers boat that had sat uncovered outside for about 10 years. It was similar to a 14' Boston Whaler but I don't remember if that was the maker. 10 hp Honda. Got the motor running and took it for a test run. As soon as he opened it up after leaving...

1992 Evinrude 150hp EXEN will not run correctly

The shift interrupter momentarily cuts power to one bank of cylinders as the shifter goes from neutral to forward to ease stress on the clutch dogs. A bad or sticky switch or one with improper adjustments could cause the problem you are having. It has been a while since I sold my boat with a...

If only rough in gear it may be a problem with the shift interrupter switch.
