    if the boat is sitting at that level lightly loaded, I would consider that too low. fully loaded, that may be ok, however I would not want to be in rough water at that level.

    couple of thoughts, as a ford f250 owner and product follower. the Ford diesel engines from 2003 thru 2010, 6.0 and 6.4 have terrible reviews, a major repair could cost close to your buying budget. I can't speak to Chevy or dodge... Imo, I would have your boat and trailer delivered if possible...

    the shaft doesn't come out with the ujoints. the ujoints have a female end that goes over the driveshaft. however, yes it's corroded onto the driveshaft. slidehammer may work...I've never had to do it. I would also assume the driveshaft bearings are bad as well. get yourself a manual.
