    That was my concern. Though I suppose every time the engine is stopped the water level inside it will fall and not rise again until the engine is run again and raw water pump runs? If that is true then if it doesn't self prime we'd need to worry about it priming every time we shut the engine off...

I was probably overthinking the coil wiring, thinking about it now I'm pretty sure I've got the ignition wires connected correctly. Just didn't want to risk blowing anything like the electronic ignition in the distributor...
