    Don't beat yourself up too bad. It's not uncommon for people to do this on these engines. Look for an OEM shop manual, Find some good youtube videos.

    It was nice to have the Volvo warehouse in Canada. Everything was next day. They ship parts out of the US now... We still get them quicker than Merc parts

I think they wanted to make their schematics/sites all similar to their heavy duty stuff not exactly 100% sure but I haven't liked...

    Lower drain plug screw?

    #10 is your lower drain plug screw, not # 55 You can buy sierra 18-4249 drainscrew that has an allen head to replace it so it doesn't strip as easy in the future. #55 is shift lever retainer screw not a drain plug.
