    Crownline dash

just thinking out loud....if it was mine labor intensive...but maybe only choice.... remove and dis-assemble the dash. make some type of re-enforcing/repair on backside?.. ...are there places that can remake/repair it?

    2000 Sylvan 1600 Expedition DC

you could try attaching the new cable to the old one then pull the old one out ..pulling the new one through with it....hopefully the old cable isn't attached in inaccessible places...

    1972 Cathedral Trihull Prop Size

according to what I've learned, mostly on here, if you go to a 15x19 from your 14x19, your rpm is gonna drop even further at wot...like another 200 rpm.... every change on a prop affects the final max rpm.... number of blades, pitch, diameter, and material..... I don't quite understand the...

pontoon strakes do I need to lower the motor, prop?

yep, the strakes did their job. Lowering the motor is the next fix. It can be surprising what difference 11/2, 2 inch drop can make...

    2018 Suzuki 115A on a 24 ft Lexington Pontoon...what prop size

there's a propping sticky on here that you should look at first. 3 blade, 4 blade?...it all makes a difference... What is the recommended rpm operating range of your 115 suzuki? I'm willing to bet that 4800 rpm is not recommended at full throttle....your lugging your motor.....

    More power

what everyone else is saying. Should be a sticker next to the captain's chair stating what max size motor can be installed. Yes. you can hang a bigger motor but your overstressing the transom and gambling on upsetting the balance...... My 24', '06 Lowe pontoon achieved around 20 mph with the...

    Tritoon speed verses rpm

you're at WOT and 3500 rpm? It's not the speed of the boat you should be concerned about, it's your motor. Your lugging it excessively. you need to prop that motor to get it into recommended operating range, then let the speed be what it's going to be....

    Speed Plateaus at 5200rpm

yeah...frustrating as heck....nice looking boat, ready to enjoy except for this... I wouldn't want holes in a new av plate.... owning a pontoon boat for a while coupled with some trial and error learning curves and reading about pontoons, the general consensus concerning 4 blade props is that...

    Speed Plateaus at 5200rpm

    Speed Plateaus at 5200rpm

" top/comfortable speed increased to 34mph. The speed plateaus at about 5200rpm (max 6200). Since the engine is under 10 hours I've only had the rpm up to about 5800rpm." isn't this, as you stated, the original problem?....your speed stays at 34 mph starting at 5200 rpm up to 5800 rpm....and...

    Speed Plateaus at 5200rpm

I'd lower the motor. there's a gap at the top of the transom, so it looks like that might be possible? If that doesn't solve what looks like a ventilation issue, then I guess look a t the prop again..... The AV plate isn't parallel, but close enough..but looks like trimming the motor level will...

Help with trailer rear bearing replacement

"When you take the hub off and punch out the rear bearings, the seal comes out as well" ....normal...I've never come across any setup that allows removing inner bearings without removing the seal.... ...as stated...the seal is to be flush with the hub....

    Speed after adding 3rd log

well....I'm no engineer...... but if you notice on new pontoons that they extend the motor pod back....especially with the tri-toons.... ....gotta be a reason for that...and I'm "as-u-ming" that it's because of how toons interfere more so with water to the prop, compared to conventional hulls...

    Speed after adding 3rd log

here's these people.... obviously, biased.....but an option to look at..... I've considered them myself.....my hesitation is wondering if adding this ..or a third toon....would raise my motor height and cause ventilation issues..... Fyi...I have a 24','06, twin tube, 25" toons....It had a 60...
