Power steering pump making loud whining sound and condensation inside the housing

I have been doing spring prep (stupid me but that is another post) and I have come across a loud whining sound coming from my power steering pump and some water condensation inside it. How do I go about figuring out what is wrong and what is causing each of these issues? I should note that...

    Boat Seat Replacement

I'd give it a shot yourself if you are handy and if not a local marine canvas shop would help you out pretty cheap. Around my area you'd be paying $125-175 CAD for that to be replaced with cheap material and probably $250 CAD with good stuff. I did a quick search on a local dealer and materials...

Retractable Transom Tie Down Strap size

That is amazing, the best we have around here is a concrete ramp that is double wide and we have game wardens there every few hours. There is probably 100-150 boats through in a busy day. There are certain hours that are horrible and of course that is when you want to go out/in.

Retractable Transom Tie Down Strap size

Getting to the ramp i normally have a cover on and leaving almost never do. Here we normally attach the winch strap and move. The 5 minutes is on a busy day you pretty much have to be out of the staging area since it is so small. Your only other option is so attach your transom straps and...

Retractable Transom Tie Down Strap size

I found some with that working load, that might be a better option then. I used to have an over the top strap on an old crestliner however I am not sure I could do that with this boat due to both the cover (unless I went under) and the fact the boat is taller than I am sitting on the trailer so...

Retractable Transom Tie Down Strap size

I thought it seemed low however it fit within 1/2 the weight of the boat so was unsure. I have always sided on overkill to an extreme with a lot of stuff and am trying to get reference for what is reasonable and not too overkill.

Retractable Transom Tie Down Strap size

I'm in fresh water and I am just trying to make life a bit easier when boating on a busy day. Half the days I go out the launches are nuts so if I can avoid forgetting something all the better. I had factory ones on my previous boat and it was great. I need to replace my current straps so...

What thinketh the membership here..... Useful or just hype

I've been looking at something like this for most of the winter. I really want one because I go solo boating most of the time with a 21ft center console which I am unable to reach the boweye from inside the boat and the launch I go to has no way for me to get to it other than over the bow and...

Retractable Transom Tie Down Strap size

I am looking to add a new transom strap to my trailer for my Blackfin 212CC which is a 21.5ft center console boat weighting about 3600lbs dry or about 4825lbs fully loaded for a day of fishing. I am looking at straps online and trying to determine what I need for breaking strength to allow me...

Hooking up a sionyx nightwave to a Simrad Go SX9

Ah okay I was thinking it came down to just wrong connection type rather than a data processing issue. Damm

Hooking up a sionyx nightwave to a Simrad Go SX9

It has other inputs which I believe are available so I was thinking an adapter might make it work.

Hooking up a sionyx nightwave to a Simrad Go SX9

I have a Simrad Go SX9 and have been looking for affordable night vision for my boat since I am hoping to do more night runs this year and while I loved my radar last year it just didn't give me the confidence to run at night like I need/want to. Right now what should take 1.5 hours would take...

    Truck reporting over hitch weight

I have maybe ~170lbs worth of stuff and people in at the lightest when this triggers. In theory I think I get 1200-1400 lbs of payload or something like that. So 900 lbs for trailer max then even say 200 lbs of people and stuff and it should still be well under.

    Truck reporting over hitch weight

Ended up getting someone to pick up one of these for me and I'll grab it after the holidays when I see them and test it out first chance I get with snow gone. Might be a bit off with the winterization but should give a rough idea. still

    Truck reporting over hitch weight

I can pretty well ensure I am not over with stuff and people in the truck, I myself weigh about 140lbs soaking wet and it goes off when I am by myself. The only stuff I keep in my truck is a small backpack full of overnight stuff as well as 4 rachet straps and 1 tarp. I normally grab everything...

    Truck reporting over hitch weight

I agree, I hate the new trucks for half of what they offer and the other half is either nice or I just don't care. If I could get a 10 year old duramax I gladly would but around here they all have too much rust for my liking

    Truck reporting over hitch weight

I did not, I was basing it on what the truck was reporting. I know the weight would be too high for a bathroom scale and also have not the slightest clue where the closest public scale would be. I know there are some scales along the 401 highway for transports for safety checks and the only...

    Truck reporting over hitch weight

I have a 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 without the max towing package. It is not ideal but works fine for my 21ft center console boat. However, it sits a bit low for my comfort which I suspect is tied to what it was reporting last time I drove it. It says I am over hitch weight (GVWR) however I...
