    You need to go out with an experienced boater and be tutored. Take a power squadron course or equivalent. Alot can change or go wrong out there....fast...and there is no ambulance can be there in minutes. Educate yourself and train with experienced boaters first.... many different style and...

    Well....I've used it prior to an oil change only...about 15 minutes prior at idle only. A compression check of each cylinder would be more telling. Sluggish when launching could be many things...hub...prop... excess water in the bilge...fat people...bad fuel...cligged fuel filter...bad primer...

    Hell Yeah!!!! Put the 85 in it and have at it!!!! I don't know anyone that's says there anything is to powerful for them. Max plates on boats are like tags on a mattress..... A guy had 300 HP on my same rig.... must've been a rocket ship!!! Great day all :)
