I quit trying to fish the lake I am on, I bought a submersible dock light and a bag of fish feed. Every night I have 100's of fish coming to me. The fish are getting fat.
New tradition born at breakfast this morning, grandson asks me if I would take him for a rip down the lake again when he was done eating. I took them out in the new power and they love the hole shot and go fast down the lake. I will never refuse when the boys ask go for a morning rip down the lake.
Got me thinking this morning about the two styles of fishing in the two trips. When I think of a fishing trip that will leave me relaxed on the flight home it has to be fishing the gulf, I can get after it for a day with my charter guy and then take my kayak thru the mangroves to pink panty reef...
Oh I still do not have the boat wet yet but powered it up to check gauges and switches, starting sequence. I love the cockpit, that is what it feels like. Never owned an inboard before, and the only single screw craft I ever operated was a gas powered silverton. I like it much more than an outboard.
Most have a map card that can be purchased for the brand you have, if your depth finder has GPS the map card is key. You may want to buy a depth finder that hooks to your trolling motor too. Humminbird with Chirp is a good unit look on line for a deal on a non current model.
